Request: Identify/Salvage All Button?
Any farmers out there find identifying/salvaging your loot takers longer than the actual farming run? You have to move items around so you can identify/salvage each bag? Isn't it annoying...

Identify all - Yes. I love that idea.
Salvage all - Sounds great, but may lead to several mistakes and a lot of rants about 'omfg i did not wnt 2 salvge DAT 1'
I know, it's their owwn fault ifi hey use the feature, but will they listen? Proobably not.

yea, the salvage all could become a problem if you arent paying attention, but i dont see how the id all would be a problem unless you are into selling unid stuff

the trouble with IDing is tha tyou can do it on whites, which is pretty useless (except the price goes up i read apparently?) anyway, if you could make it only ID the colour of your choice, then groovey and /signed.
Salvage all button - Achk!H I'd be the idiot screaming in Drok's that id salvaged all my worldy goods, I can see alot of people with different armour sets crying miserably iun the corner...lol. So i wudnt use this feature at all, and would have it turned off all the time, so /not signed for that one, id rather spend the extra time salvaging only what iwant to do rather than risk loosing it all.

Well, the price does go up in the trade window, but that's just because it is the actual price of that item and identifying the item reveals it. Which means all the merchant NPCs are, in fact, scammers who are trying to buy items for cheap from those players who do not know their real value.

Definately definately true, price of whites does go up after identifying. I read it on another thread yesterday, didnt believe it and went and checked. What do you know... some doubled in price! Not sure if the price increase will cover the cost of the id kits in the long run though and cant be arsed to do the maths.

Cost per identification is 4 gold pieces (5 if you are using superior id kits), so, as long as the price increase does not drop below 5 golds, you are better off identifying everything before selling to merchant. Advice: do not bother identifying any white below 20-25 gp because the price increase is relative to the original price. Junk that merchant offers 5g for will only be about 6-10g after id'ing. ~50 gp whites can go as high as ~100 gp with id'ing.

Identify all would be great, it should be added.
Salvage all on the other hand would be very very bad. Example:
"Blah Blah's Team has won Hall of Heroes!"
*Click chest*
"OMG!!!! RARE REQ8 CRYSTALLINE!!!!"
*Identify All*
"OMG!!! 15^50!!!!!"
*1 hour later*
"OMG, SO MANY RARE RUNES FARMZORING TEH ETTINS!!!!"
*Identify All*
"OMG SUP VIGOR AND ABSORB!!!"
*Salvage All*
At this point, an astute person would come to the conclusion that the person would have put the Crystalline in storage, and also that a person who wins HoH would most likely not be farming Ettins an hour later. But lets pretend he didn't put it in Storage, and DID go farming. Bye bye awesome item. This would most likely happen, but less extreme.

/signed for mass ID
However, you do realize you don't have to move things around to ID and salvage, right? Hit F9 to see your entire inventory at once.

Sometimes I don't want that mod or rune, but instead I want the materials.

I would hate to salvage good weapons, armors, etc, plus some rare materials might get salvaged such as steel ingots, etc.

I don't really see many upsides to this. IMHO you shouldn't be id'ing anything that isn't rare anyways. The only reason I will ID blues or purples is to see if the item has any salvageable mods on it, and if it does I'll use my standard salvage kit on it instead of the expert salvage kit (so I get crafting materials instead of the crappy mods). The only benefit of using an expert salvage kit over a standard salvage kit is the possibility of getting rare crafting materials (parchment from off-hands, steel from wands, etc).
The salvage all idea would never really work. Can you imagine how bad you would freak out when you salvaged that HOD sword that wasn't equipped in your weapon slots? Or how about your 2nd or 3rd set of armor? I know I carry extra weapons and armor always as I do a lot of swapping. So salvaging everything but equipped items wouldn't work as a fix.
